3. Clean Window Screens Without Removing Them

The easiest solution to clean the window screens without removing them is using a microfiber cloth. I think it’s much faster and easier to clean than a lint remover. Julie shared her tips here.

If your window screens are covered in caked-on grime, you need to take them down to deep clean.

Get ready for a cleaning solution by mixing a small amount of liquid dish soap with warm water in a bucket.

Wet your screens first and grab a soft bristle brush or a microfiber cloth to scrub the screens lightly with soapy water. You may damage your screens if you push too hard.

Next, use warm water to rinse both sides of your screens. Let them completely dry before installing them again.

4. Clean Sliding Door and Window Tracks in Minutes

Use a paper towel to clean off any dirt loose. Spray the window tracks with distilled white vinegar. Then, get a rag to scrub your window tracks, You may find it helpful to have an old toothbrush to scrub in the corners. Dampen a rag to wipe the leftover debris away.

If you do not clean your window tracks regularly, they should look so gross and grimy. The above method may not be able to clean them out. You need to deep clean those window tracks.

First, sprinkle some baking soda in the tracks and then pour vinegar on it. It starts bubbling to loosen up the grime. Let them react and rest for 10 minutes.

Next, take an old toothbrush and scrub the grime. Then, clean up the dirt and debris with a paper towel.

Spray the cleaner on a microfiber cloth and rub gently on the baseboards until the dirt and grime are gone. Leave your baseboards to air dry or dry it manually with a clean microfiber cloth.

11. Clean a Dirty Microwave Quickly

You can deep clean a dirty microwave in less than 10 minutes. Mix 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar into a microwave-safe bowl.

“Use a wooden stick (like a chopstick or coffee stir stick) in your microwave-safe container to prevent superheated water. Superheated water can cause serious skin burns or scalding injuries around people’s hands and faces as a result of hot water erupting out of a cup after it has been over-heated in a microwave.”

Put the bowl inside the microwave and heat on high power for 2 minutes. When the time is finished, leave it in for 5 minutes as the steam will do the job.

When the time is up, open the door and allow the water to cool completely before removing the bowl from the microwave.

Grab a microfiber cloth and dip it into the vinegar-water solution to wipe the ceiling and all the sides of the microwave. Don’t forget to wipe the inside of the door too. Rinse and wipe dry. Handwash the glass plate.

Now that you will want to clean the microwave’s exterior. Wipe down the outside of the microwave with an all-purpose cleaner. Spray the cleaner directly onto the microfiber cloth, then wipe the entire exterior and touchpad. Wipe dry with a clean microfiber clot
